Around the world, engineers and architects, constructors and owner-operators are using Bentley’s software solutions to accelerate project delivery and improve asset performance for the infrastructure that sustains our economy and our environment. Together, we are advancing infrastructure.
At its core, Bentley Systems is a software development company that supports the professional needs of those responsible for creating and managing the world’s infrastructure, including roadways, bridges, airports, skyscrapers, industrial and power plants as well as utility networks. Bentley delivers solutions for the entire lifecycle of the infrastructure asset, tailored to the needs of the various professions – the engineers, architects, planners, contractors, fabricators, IT managers, operators and maintenance engineers – who will work on and work with that asset over its lifetime. Comprised of integrated applications and services built on an open platform, each solution is designed to ensure that information flows between workflow processes and project team members to enable interoperability and collaboration.
Founded in 1984, Bentley has more than 3,500 colleagues in over 50 countries, more than $700 million in annual revenues, and since 2012 has invested more than $1 billion in research, development, and acquisitions.

Nippon Koei, Japan’s No.1 International Engineering Consultant, is a multi-disciplinary group that is well-positioned to tackle the biggest engineering challenges countries face: namely to improve urban mobility, reduce congestion and cut pollution, and cope with new transportation technologies such as electric cars, self-driving vehicles, and intelligent/smart transportation systems.
Across 70 years, we have provided strong engineering solutions, designed and supervised construction on over 5500 infrastructure projects in 160 countries worldwide. We have developed all kinds of transport infrastructure (railways, airports, ports, roads, bridges and tunnels) as well as water and sanitation infrastructure, and resource and environmental development. We provide urban planning and architecture services through the group firm, BDP, a major international practice of architects, designers, engineers and urbanists. We provide electricity generation services through our power engineering group for conventional power infrastructure and distribution as well as renewables and mini-hydro. Our own Research and Development Center works to bring advanced technologies, including AI, big data and loT, into our practice.
Currently, we are working to develop a new transportation system using self-driving car technology. We are also contributing to improve sewage and energy management in cooperation with European firms such as Steinhardt in Germany and Yuso BVBA in Belgium.
GERMAN ASSOCIATION OF CONSULTING ENGINEERS VBI:
Our Strength is the Strength of our Members
With a membership of 2 000 companies employing about 40 000 highly-skilled professionals, the German Association of Consulting Engineers – VBI (Verband Beratender Ingenieure) is one of the largest consulting associations world-wide.
The spectrum of VBI member companies includes highly-specialised one-man engineering operations as well as global engineering groups. Experienced VBI members are available as partners for project planning, construction, testing, building supervision, feasibility studies and the production of expert reports. VBI members operate in fields covering the entire range of engineering disciplines, from the general planning of complex projects through to specialist planning and company consulting.
The VBI membership has always been a sign of very high level of qualification, comprehensive experience, and status as an independent consultant. Today, "Membership in the German Association of Consulting Engineers VBI" is also an indication of flexibility, ability to adapt to the developments of the market, and the provision of all-round planning and consulting services. VBI-members provide their services independent from product suppliers or contractors – the precondition for creating the best possible solution.
